We believe that each and every Athlete has incredible greatness within them that can be unleashed with great training and proper nutrition.


We believe that there is significant untapped potential in all of us that wants to be expressed.  


We don’t follow the rules, we create them. We don’t answer to “the man”.  We are the “(wo)man”. We lead, we don’t follow.


We believe that everyone is unique and what works for one person may not work for another. Flexibility is a key component to long term success.


We believe in progress, not perfection. That shame, guilt, and comparing your beginning to someone else’s middle has no place in our journey. Doing your best and continually improving is all that matters.


We believe that experimentation and failures are inevitable but also necessary for the journey to success.


We believe in working smarter, not harder. That more can be accomplished in less time by focusing on the big rocks instead of chasing tiny pebbles.


We’re here to make a real world difference and leave this planet and it’s people better than when we found them. We are committed to creating a world where everyone has access to the right knowledge and resources to improve their health. A world where obesity and metabolic disease is rare - as obsolete as slavery. Where the health care system is no longer a sick care system and where each individual trusts their own knowledge and experience more than dogmatic prescriptions.

Where it all started

My name is Tony Bevilacqua and I'm the founder of Total Athlete Coaching

I’m also a Sought after Weightlifting Coach and CrossFit coach with almost 20 years of full time coaching experience in the health and fitness space.


Over the past 10 years, I’ve developed and worked with with some of the best athletes in the world. I've coached at the international and national level in Weightlifting and at the highest levels of fitness as a coach at the CrossFit Games.


I started my career after graduating from university in 1999. I was on a mission to transform peoples lives and did exactly that as a personal trainer working 80 hours+ per week. 


I remember telling my then boss that my goal was to be the best personal trainer ON THE PLANET...and I meant it! He thought I was crazy ;-). 


After a bunch of years working ridiculous hours and taking care of everyone but myself, I found myself lying in a hospital bed at the age of 30 waiting to go in for my 2nd big surgery because my cancer had come back. 


It wasn't until my 2nd go around with cancer that I decided things needed to change... It was time to take responsibility for my health and well being and get make myself as healthy and fit as I possibly could.


It worked! I defeated cancer (with the help of some fantastic people) and in my journey to where I am today, I have been armed with incredible knowledge and real life experience that I have been using to not only help myself, but also help others.

The Total Athlete Coaching Difference

There's an old saying that goes "Those who do, do. Those who don't, teach."


I don't agree with that.


Not only have I changed my body in ways I never thought possible, I'm committed to teaching you how to do the same.


Sadly, not all "health & fitness experts" have had the experience or successes in their profession that I have had. Not only do I actually do this stuff personally, but I'm happy to teach you what I know. 


And after continuing to see far too many amazing, well intentioned athletes struggling to find the success they so desperately want, I decided to do something about it.


That’s why I created Total Athlete Coaching and that’s why I’m committed to helping you – assuming you’ve got a big vision you want to see realized.


I believe that you are special and that you have untapped potential and that following "cookie-cutter" advice can often be dangerous. You won't get that here.


Maximizing your body's potential is hard work - It takes time, effort, and patience, but if it's important to you, it's worth it 100x over.


You DO need to master the fundamentals of fitness and nutrition that works for you. That's what you'll learn how to do here.


Remember, there are many paths to Mecca. You simply need to find the path that gives you the best results in the shortest amount of time.
